Good thing i still remember what this post was supposed to be about. This was written right before Dad did that legit thing with the floor tiles and the threshing floor. I talked to Chris about breaking out of my comfort zone on Monday and then thats what I wrote on my tile: "Leaving my comfort zone"
My comfort zone, as I would define it, is very large... but I absolutely loathe leaving it and it takes a lot of convincing for me to leave it. People are often surprised when I straight up refuse to do something because I'm willing to do a lot. When something comes up that is just slightly out of my comfort zone, I say no, and there is nothing that anyone can say or do to change my mind.
Normally this is a good thing, I withstand peer pressure very well. But in regards to growing, its my biggest vice. Being a faithful servant to God calls me to do a lot of things that I'm not comfortable with. It takes a LOT of convincing and talking to make me do it (ask Chris). How can I expand my comfort zone? by making something a habit. It takes 21 days to make something a habit which brings me to my BIGGEST vice: discipline. Just don't have the ability to do something for 21 days to make it a habit, add it to my comfort zone, and grow.
GRRRRR if comfort zones died, this wouldn't a problem.
