. . . .There are, dear reader, three stories that I wish to tell you in succession. The first is a story about a creature of clay who fell in love, the second tells of a man who was loved by God, and the third... the third is a story so absurd and heartbreakingly true that fear grips me with every written word... |
WOW.
I'm like... wow. I can't believe I get to live this life.
This weekend was a really good reality check. I'm so grateful for this weekend. There were no epiphany or incredible mountaintop experiences, but God was so evident in the simple interactions and I've been humbled by the humble words of others. I feel like I've had answered prayers too, as I've been praying a ton more for the campus and for people I know.
As for lent commitments, I've been following somewhat closely. What I posted at the beginning of this entry is the opening to the work I'm writing for class... I need to pray more. I realized that my testimony is so vague, even in my writing. I've thus been taking a mini-break from that and am trying to channel writing as my means of worship. It's been really neat!! Maybe I'll post some stuff during this season on my artblog.
I've been able to meet a couple new people over the weekend, but it was sort of fail in regards to sharing the gospel with them. But I can't believe how encouraged I was after each time, because I am such an introvert that it's so hard for me to talk to people I don't know. Somehow, I'm blown away with every encounter, because it reminds me how beautiful people are. I'm so convinced that if you really get to know someone, you realize that they could never be boring, because God's writing a story there with such potential. Hopefully, even though I'm still trying to understand what it means to share the gospel, I can develop relationships through these experiences and share more earnestly and directly.
Please ask me about them!! There are so many precious details that I'm leaving out for now. And come with me sometime :) The world is white!! And it really is a pleasure. Really!!
