ok here's my update. i'm not too much of a blogger so bear with me..
to sum up my thanksgiving break..i would say it's definitely been restful. i did a lot of resting..to the point of idleness sometimes haha. most of my days consisted of reading, watching movies, eating and sleeping. this was good and bad if done with moderation. i also got to see some old faces here and there as well so i'm thankful for that. on thanksgiving day i had dinner with just my family at home..and then went black friday shopping with some friends from church later that night. i wasn't planning on buying anything..more to just hang out with people (but i couldn't pass these bad boys up: http://www.nicekicks.com/2010/03/nike-zoom-kobe-v-del-sol/)..gotta love the no sales tax on clothing/shoes in nj! for the rest of my break..which is basically tomorrow, i'm going to grab breakfast with my dad at this diner we always go to and then play some golf together..excited for some guy bonding time. as always..sad to leave friends/family but i'm excited to be back in aa as well
for my missions week convictions, i think i was challenged in my personal faith and how much i really knew what God's presence felt like. hearing about Jaeson Ma's college experiences and just seeing his passion for God, i was definitely challenged to reevaluate my own understanding of what experiencing God and the Bible is really like. i've kind of been on a mission since then to really seek after him more so than i have before and to constantly be in His presence whenever i get a chance. being at home has a been a good initial challenge to test these convictions and i can testify that God's been faithful so far. hopefully i can keep this desire going..
